Travel to the Marshall islands


Republic of the Marshall Islands is an archipelago of the same name in the Pacific Ocean, north of the equator, in Micronesia. Consists of 31 atolls of the group (more than 1150 islands, the largest: Kwajalein, Dzhaluit, Eniwetok, Majuro) and ca. 870 coral reefs. The Marshall Islands form two large groups at a distance of about 240 km – and Ralik radaka. The Marshall Islands are low, are composed mainly of coral limestone. The highest point – unnamed hill (10 meters), located in one of the islands of the atoll Likiep.

The territory consists of several hundreds of small coral islands, atolls and reefs. Largest – Kwajalein Island. Climate on the island – a tropical trade wind in the south – subequatorial; rainfall 2000 – 4000 mm. Common evergreen tropical forests and shrubs. The basis of the economy are agriculture and fishing. Grown coconut palms, breadfruit, kasavu, tropical fruit. State in the western Pacific Ocean, Micronesia. Islands are grouped into two major chains – Ratak (“Sunrise”) to the east and Ralik (“Sunset”) to the west, and stretches from north to south, occupying approximately 1,942 sq. km. in the central part of the Pacific in 4100 km.
